Yacht Formalities
- Yacht Clearance
- Every yacht that visits/departs from Panama needs an arrival/departure clearance. As agents, we must send all documentation required by the Panama Maritime Authority to clear the yacht upon arrival without any delay. Such documentation involves:

- Passport & Seaman book from Crew
- Ship Registry
- Last 10 ports of call
- Last departure clearance
- Arrival date

- Immigration & Visas
- We coordinate your seaman crew changes in Panama as per the National Immigration requirements, so you and your passengers can have an epic experience in Panama.
Cost for clearance services is $205.70 per clearance.
- Customs
- If you need to bring via airfreight or sea freight any spare or items, we can deliver to your premises smoothly. We just need you to send the Packing List, Airway Bill and Shipment Details.
- Panama Cruising Permit
- In order to navigate through all our islands, its mandatory all yachts get a Navigational Permit trough the following requirements:
- Ship Registry
- Master Passport & Seamanbook
- Navigational Form signed/stamped by Master

Panama Canal Transits
- Registration

- For registering through the VUMPA system from the Panama Canal, all yachts need to provide the following documentation:
- Last 10 port of Call
- Ships Particulars
- Gross Tonnage Certificate
- Maritime Declaration of Health
- Last Port clearance
- Ship Sanitation Exemption Certificate
- Date of Arrival / Transit
- Yellow Fever Vaccination List of Crew
- Crew List
- For registering through the VUMPA system from the Panama Canal, all yachts need to provide the following documentation:
- Booking transit

- Yachts that would like to book a date for transit shall assume the booking fee as per the Panama Canal. The booking fee vary depending on boat size, same for transit tolls.
- Advice/Regulations
Small craft vessels up to 38.1 meters (125 feet) in length overall normally transit the Canal as handlines (they do not use locomotives in the locks). Handlines under 20 meters (65 feet) will normally transit the Canal with a transit advisor; while handlines of 20 meters (65 feet) or more will normally require a pilot.
GENERAL PROCEDURES (details below)
- Clear into the country of Panama (see Formalities).
- Obtain an agent or make your own arrangements. See agent information at the bottom and a list of Clearance Agents in Panama Formalities.
- Submit your information at least 96 hours in advance of arrival in Canal waters.
- Arrange an Admeasurer inspection.
- Pay transit fees.
- Obtain your transit schedule.
- Arrange line handlers (need 4 + Captain).
- Check or rent your equipment.
- Collect your Transit Adviser.
- Transit.

- Advance Notification:
- The Panama Canal Authority requires 96 hours advance notification of arrival for vessels wishing to transit.
